Abstract

Iris biometrics are considered the most accurate and reliable because of their uniqueness and immutability. One of the critical difficulties that require high accuracy in the identification process and quickness in differentiating. It is preferable to reduce dimensions while keeping higher-order precision. In this paper, a technique was proposed for extracting the features of the iris image as a biometric using Shar-Smell Optimization, which works on the region of interest of the iris image is specified using the Haugh transform, the unity of features required to fix some input parameters that are selected to control the result, as well as the use of Convex Hall in determining the area that surrounds the points designated by the Haugh transform.
